Yes, I can only confess that this buffet was born from experience. I had to make a though crossing through bad weather to England. When getting there, nothing beats a delicious fresh beer! The best cure for a hangover was born: a good English breakfast.

Dutch breakfast

First thing we do when we are back in the Netherlands, I go get breakfast with my sweetie at one of my children and grandchildren. I can then enjoy such a nice set table with all kinds of tasty things from De Ruyter and delicious jam. You have probably heard about it, sprinkles on white bread. The Dutch definitely know how to make a party!

Sandwiches with sprinkles, jam, ham, cheese, boiled egg, etc. Just a Dutch breakfast. How great just a simple breakfast can be.

DELICIOUS

Yogurt & Oats Bar

The breakfast buffet 'Yoghurt and Oats Bar' consists of 5 different breakfast cereals, seasonal fruit and sweet toppings for everyone's cheat day. We don't do diets here, breakfast is also a party!

My dear Jo’s favorite breakfast. Yogurt and Oats. Makes sense, because she is certainly the healthy one of the two of us. She gets to the market early to pick out the best pieces of fruit, different by season and the best deals. If you had asked me, she could have also been standing there as the market salesmen: ‘STRAWBERRIES ONE EURO! TASTY STRAWBEES!’. With the way she blares at me sometimes I’m sure she’d reach the whole market, but if you tell her that I said this I’ll deny everything.

The most fun cruise in Rotterdam!
Euromast
Kubuswoningen
Erasmusbrug
What will you see?

Depending on where the tour starts you will encounter the different wonders of Rotterdam. The city has so much to offer that you can spend hours there, get lost and still be amazed by the art and architecture in all the streets.

Euromast

If you look closely between the buildings of the city, you can see it from all over Rotterdam. One of the tallest towers in the Netherlands; the Euromast. The tower, designed by the architect Maaskant, offers a spectacular 360 degree view of Rotterdam.

The euroscope takes you all the way to the top at a height of 185 meters. Just high enough to not only be able to see but also feel the city. Tickets for the Euromast are not included in the tour, but can be booked additionally. A visit to the Euromast takes an hour on average, and will perfectly extend your day for a small price.

If you choose to go up all together to enjoy the view, don’t forget to ask our team about drink options during this breathtaking stopover.

Cube houses

As soon as you arrive at Blaak station you will see them right away. Our ‘Blaakse Bos’ made by Piet Blom remains one of the true eye-catchers in Rotterdam. The houses are built at an angle of 45 degrees, each representing a ‘tree’ in the city.

Let’s tell you a little secret right away. The homes are not only nice to look at, they also serve as a walkway over one of the busiest streets in the city.

Market Hall

This is certainly the most colorful building in town; the Market Hall! As soon as you step inside you are overwhelmed by all the drawings that decorate the entire ceilings of the hall. All the stalls and shops inside immediately give you the feeling that you want to browse around. The shops are filled with special products from all over the world.

Rotterdam Central Station

Impressive is certainly one of the ways to describe Rotterdam station opened in 2014. The station looks like an aluminum arrow pointing towards the heart of the city. Walking out of the station, you only have to follow the indicated point. It can’t get any easier than this, right?

It is busy there, although you don’t often feel that at the spacious station. On average, the station is used by 110,000 people per day.

Erasmus Bridge

Better known to the real Rotterdammers as ‘the Swan Neck or the Woman’s Leg’, the Erasmus Bridge is the most famous bridge in Rotterdam. During the trip on the Pub boat Rotterdam you will certainly sail under it, but also walking over it, watching the water taxis and RIB-Experience tear through under the bridge gives a very special feeling. The Erasmus Bridge connects the center of the city with the Kop van Zuid. The Kop van Zuid has a rich history. Hotel New York is located here, which used to be the head office of the Holland America line where ships with immigrants left for America.

These are only 5 of the highlights, but you will have to discover the real gems during the tours!
